Making God a Priority: Amelia's Story

NCBC High School students are finding hope in God’s Word after responding to a challenge by Pastor Christian to make daily devotions a priority. To get them started, he recommended two resources: The Bible Recap by Tara Leigh Cobble and Live in Grace, Walk in Love by Bob Goff.

Amelia Finley is one of the students who stepped up to the challenge and report growing immensely through this new commitment.

“I believe quiet time is an essential part of a relationship with God,” says Amelia who chose the Goff study. “I find that I need a guided quiet time to fully focus and this devotional is exactly that. In my walk with Christ right now I am trying to grow by allowing myself to be still to hear God, by making God the first person I turn to with anything, and by having a genuine relationship with the Lord.

I can honestly say that this devotional is helping me a lot with these areas. It helps answer my questions about what loving others actually looks like and how to make God a priority,” shares Amelia.
