Meet Spencer & Tereza Steel

Student Life Coordinators at a local High School.  Spencer coordinates a Student Life initiative at a local High School. He is developing a structure that allows for every student to be as involved as they desire, all for the purpose of life on life discipleship. He also teaches which gives him an opportunity to develop relationships with the local teenagers. He started a new ministry to their town’s teenagers by providing basketball practices. Tereza invests the bulk of her time to their kids and a youth ministry research project.

Prayer Requests

PRAYER REQUESTS:

Shifting dynamics: as students are becoming believers, their non-believing classmates are making decisions on how much they want to stay involved in those friendships. Please pray that the new-found faith in Jesus in many would not alienate them. Rather, that they would find a way to draw encouragement from believing friends while still keeping their witness with their non-believing friends.

Kick-off BBQ/ Freshman Retreat: Every year, these two events set a tone for the community-atmosphere in our school. Pray that many new friendship would be initiated and that new students would very quickly feel like they’ve been a part of the BMA community forever.

Student Leadership Conference: At the end of September, we will be taking a group of 10 students to an international conference hoping it will light a new fire under them and give them new enthusiasm for leadership, personal faith and desire to share Christ with their classmates.

Tereza’s role: Tereza will rejoin BMA in a new, official role of Project Manager. Pray we quickly learn how to balance family dynamics and step into the year in a sustainable pace.
